Medically reviewed by Dr. Aishwarya Yerram, MBBS, DNB (OB&G), MRCOG (UK) · Last updated June 2026

In-vitro fertilisation (IVF) is one of the most established assisted-reproduction treatments. At Radha Hospital & Fertility Centre in Hyderabad, every IVF cycle is personalised to your medical history, age and goals, and guided by Dr. Aishwarya Yerram, an internationally-trained fertility specialist.

Is IVF right for you?

IVF is often considered for couples experiencing prolonged difficulty conceiving, blocked or damaged fallopian tubes, low sperm count or motility, ovulation disorders, endometriosis, or unexplained infertility. It may also be helpful where earlier treatment has not succeeded. The right path depends entirely on your individual evaluation — Dr. Aishwarya Yerram will recommend the approach suited to your situation.

The IVF process at Radha

  1. 1

    Consultation & assessment

A detailed review of your history and the tests needed to plan a cycle suited to you.

  2. 2

    Ovarian stimulation & monitoring

Personalised medication encourages several eggs to mature, tracked with scans and blood tests.

  3. 3

    Egg retrieval

A short procedure under sedation collects the mature eggs.

  4. 4

    Fertilisation in the lab

Eggs and sperm are combined in our embryology lab — with ICSI where indicated.

  5. 5

    Embryo transfer

A healthy embryo is placed in the uterus; a blood test about two weeks later checks for pregnancy.

Personalised, evidence-based care

Stimulation, trigger, lab culture and transfer timing are all tailored to your ovarian profile and uterine response. Where it is helpful, we use blastocyst culture, single-embryo transfer for safer pregnancies, and advanced techniques such as ICSI, pre-implantation genetic testing (PGT) and ovarian PRP. Care is always guided by transparent counselling and ethical practice — with no unnecessary cycles.

Related options include IUI as a gentler first-line treatment, and our advanced fertility and precision protocols for recurrent IVF failure. For a sense of what treatment involves financially, see IVF cost in Hyderabad.

IVF — common questions

How long does one IVF cycle take?

A typical cycle spans about four to six weeks from the start of stimulation to the pregnancy test, though this varies from person to person.

Is the IVF process painful?

Most steps are well tolerated. Egg retrieval is a short procedure done under sedation, and the embryo transfer is usually painless. Your care team will explain what to expect at each stage.

How many cycles might I need?

This varies widely with factors such as age, diagnosis and ovarian response. Dr. Aishwarya Yerram will discuss realistic expectations transparently after your evaluation.

What is ICSI, and will I need it?

ICSI involves injecting a single selected sperm directly into the egg. It is often used for male-factor infertility or previous fertilisation difficulty. Whether it is appropriate is decided case by case.
